New Fashion Teritory- DISCO PANTS

In all honesty, I'm not one to follow the latest fashions. I figure that's why I avoided disco pants like the plague. I think that they can, sometimes, look a bit tacky and very much full on.

However, New Look recently had a sale on where I found a pair of royal blue size 12 disco pants for the grand total of £5! It was a done deal.

I took them straight to the changing room where they just slid on- I was so happy!

I am willing to admit that I have a lot of confidence in the way I dress and my appearance. However, I knew a chubby girl rolling up to sixth form wearing these striking disco pants was a controversial decision.

BUUUUUUUUUUT...

I have to admit, I had a wonderful time wearing them! This may be because I'm someone who has the ability to embrace my curves and stand out from the crowd. I turned a lot of heads - probably for the wrong reasons- but they are now one of my most valued items of clothing, due to the amazing possibilities to make a statement when wearing them...

One of my favourite factors about them is the ability to "mix it up". Personally, I enjoy clashing styles and colours, which is fabulous when using this item. They have amazing versatility, whether you're dressing them up with a pair of heels, or dressing them down with a big baggy top. The ability to challenge trends and expectations with the disco pants is wonderful. Clearly a fashion statement must have!

Monroe Piercing Update

Hello!

I've had my Monroe Piercing for a little over two weeks now, and wanted to provide an update for anyone who wants it done, or who just has a general interest.

Although I love the adrenaline of piercings,  I was beyond scared as I was on my way to get it done. I payed £25 for mine, which is around average.

The pain itself was minimal (obviously it hurt a little) but was bearable and so worth it! In fact, it hurt the most a few hours after it was done. This was mostly because I met up with a friend - while this took my mind off of the pain, the laughing and talking really stretched the piercing resulting in huuuuuuuuuge swelling:-(

Another challenge I encountered with the Monroe Piercing was that it is incredibly hard to talk, drink and move your mouth for at least a week.

However, the swelling and inevitable dis-comfort was a small price to pay as I really love the piercing! It's in such an elegant, yet still bad-ass place and it really allows you to be creative with your style.

The biggest piece of advice I could give if you're thinking about getting this done, is that piercings suit the confidence of the person. I find this is more true that it looking good based on the physical appearance. Don't worry about "suiting" the piercing, get it because you love it! Your confidence will really shine through.

Magnificent Cinnamon and Honey Face Mask!

Hello Internet!

This is my first post on my new blog... (eek!)

I thought the first thing I'd write about would be a magnificent face mask that changed my life forever. I heard about a honey and cinnamon homemade face mask on a social networking site. (Unfortunately, I couldn't find where it came from) It's not my instructions (sigh) but I'll pass it on anyway!

I suffer from dozens of stubborn black heads in awkward places such as the tip of my nose and white bumps all over my face- horrid I know! Anyway, shop brought face masks and washes never really seem to make much of a difference so I am always eager to try good old fashioned homemade remedies. This mask literally glued itself to all of the horrid junk I wanted out of my face and pulled it all out (hardly scientific I know). Also, it tastes really great so it doesn't matter if it drips down onto your lips!

All you need is;
One small bowl
One Table Spoon
Honey
Cinnamon

Take put one heaped table spoon of cinnamon into a bowl with a table spoon of honey. Stir until a thick paste. You may need to add more cinnamon. It is important to ensure the paste is thick to avoid a sticky, dripping mess that slides off of your face! You can leave the mask for as long as you like, a few minutes at least, and then simply wash off.

AND VOILA! THAT IS ALL! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

GO, GO AND GET THAT STICKY MIRICAL SLATHERED ALL OVER YOUR FACE. DO IT....

Why are you still here?!?!?!
